Extractions & Wisdom Teeth Extractions
Although it is ideal to retain your natural teeth, there may be times when a tooth need to be removed due to extensive decay, periodontitis that has caused a bone infection, an irreparable fracture causing pulp damage, or impacted wisdom tooth.
There are also rare occasions where removal of children's tooth is required to prevent crowding or crooked tooth. These conditions are best addressed by orthodontics.
Following the removal of your tooth, you will be given a post-operative care instruction. You may experience swelling and soreness, which may last a few hours or a few days depending on your procedure. You should avoid smoking and drinking alcohol for at least 12 hours, and take soft food for several days. Pain relief medication will be required. Please make sure that you follow the dosage instructions.
