To all veterans, thank you for your service! We’re honoured to care for those who’ve served Australia. If you’re a DVA cardholder, we’re here to make accessing quality dental care simple, respectful, and stress-free.

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Card is issued to Australian veterans, war widows, and eligible dependents to help cover healthcare costs—including dental. With a DVA Gold or White Card, you can receive necessary dental treatment with little or no out-of-pocket costs, depending on your eligibility. This support helps protect your oral health while easing financial pressure.

Who is Eligible?

The DVA provides dental benefits to:

  • Gold Card holders - Eligible for most dental services, including general, preventative, and major treatments
  • White Card holders - Covered for dental conditions that are accepted as service-related by the DVA

What’s Covered?

  • Dental exam and hygiene
  • X-ray and OPG
  • Fillings and restorations
  • Extractions
  • Dentures
  • Root canal treatment
  • Periodontal (gum) disease treatment
  • Emergency dental care

Understanding Treatment Limits

While many services don’t carry yearly limits, some do. We’ll explain what’s included and track your available balance, so there are no surprises.

You may be exempt from treatment limits if you are a former prisoner of war, a White Card holder with a DVA-accepted dental condition, or a White Card holder with a diagnosed malignant tumour affecting your mouth or jaw.
